MODELS SET TO DOMINATE 2023

Amidst the millions of editorials and campaigns we've scrolled through in 2022, there were a few notable faces that seemed to stand out against the rest. We've compiled a list of of the 5 models who stood out last year for various reasons, and who we think hasn't even scratched the surface in their careers yet.


PRECIOUS LEE


Aside from her obvious groundbreaking strides in the fashion industry as a whole, Precious Lee became become one of the most uttered names in 2022. Her iconic characters that many could see themselves in seemed to pave the way, and her powerful and dynamic images swept the internet all year round. She appeared in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty show, and was just recently named the International Model of the Year by GQ.. Precious has quickly become a regular in the luxury fashion world from walking Fendi runways to starring in huge campaigns to appearing on the most coveted covers such as Harper's BAZAAR and Vogue. She is one of the latest pioneers to morph into a symbol of body positive change that is still working its way into the industry. She has proven that she's a force to be reckoned with in 2022 and it isn't hard to predict that she will take her career to new heights this year.



SORA CHOI


If there is anyone who dominated the modeling industry last year, it’s Sora Choi. 2022 was the year of Sora and there didn't seem to be a moment where we didn’t see her excersing her versatility as a model, walking the runway, gracing a huge cover or casually being named one of the Business of Fashion 500. A lot of people don't actually realize they're looking at Sora Choi when they see her, but although her presence on social media isn't the loudest she definitely has the resume and talent to deserve a spot on this list. We're impatiently looking forward to seeing her next transformation this year and what more she will accomplish.



BELLA HADID


There’s no way that we can not include Bella Hadid in the list of models set to dominate 2023. Last year she won the 2022 Model of the Year Awards by Models.com, Model of the Year at the 2022 British Fashion Awards and Lyst's 2022 "Power Dresser of the Year". And model of the year she definitely was, many would agree. Even though Bella has always been a notable name when it comes to modeling, 2022 was arguably her biggest year yet. Anything she did immediately made headlines of the biggest magazine's and she was the clear face for many brands like Mugler, Swavorski, Versace and how can we ever forget the internet breaking fashion week moment with Coperni. Riding on such a career high, there's no doubt Bella will be taking over 2023 and maybe even garnering another viral audio on Tiktok in the meantime.



ANOK YAI


Anok Yai undoubtedly made her mark on the year 2022, constantly going viral for looking completely otherworldly at various shoots and events. From appearing in the iconic British Vogue cover alongside other dark skin women who are reshaping the industry, to being one of the featured models on one of W Magazine’s 50th birthday cover, to driving the internet into a frenzy over her chocolate Met Gala after party look. She is quickly becoming one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today and she is only becoming more and more of a household name. 2023 we expect Anok to be immediately known as one of the top modeling girls of today.



PALOMA ELESSESER


Paloma Elsesser has been breaking molds as one of the most sought after models of 2022. Also named one of the BOF 500, Paloma has been a loud and proud body activist through her work and simply being open and honest about her experiences which many seem to love about her. She worked with major brands such as Altuzarra and Chloe as well as being a featured model in British Vogue. She graced the cover of I-D in an issue called "The Out of Body" issue in which she specifically wanted images created that resonated with "larger bodied femmes and beyond". Between the ground breaking conversations she's sparked and the unforgettable looks she's effortlessly pulled off, Paloma is truly one of the ones to keep an eye on this year.
