"I started 'The Crown Jewel' during the Christmas of 2022. At that time I was only 3 months into my first big girl job in the fashion industry, the Operations Coordinator at a luxury womenswear brand. And even though I've been a fashion lover since childhood, it was in this position that I experienced the raw and uncut  behind the scenes of fashion. I was excited at this prospect and excitedly opened myself to any knowledge that I could obtain. But simultaneously I found myself consistently feeling empty, going through the motions, and longing for a community.

Although I've always known that I one day wanted to produce some tangible works of my views, beliefs, passions and values in a fashion sense, the idea of a magazine seemingly struck watching 'The September Issue', a documentary about the behind the scenes at Vogue. I looked at the screen, pointed and said out loud 'I want to do that.' And immediately I pulled out my laptop and began to work.

Through trial and error I began to understand what it is I truly wanted to do with the idea, deep down. I discovered I reallyjust want to reach in and touch people's souls, connect on the beauty that is life. Bring people together and create experiences that will be cherished for years to come. Provide opportunities for young creatives who have heard so many “no’s” and are longing for that one “yes.” To have fun, create, to heal and to dream.

The Crown Jewel Magazine is more than a magazine, it is a community. A space where young individuals who love life, fashion and creation can come together, create together and inspire together. And that has been my driving force for the magazine."
